Wing T Offense: How to Attack Defenses
To most effectively run the Wing T offense, it’s critical to understand your available personnel, their strengths and abilities, and how to utilize those abilities to attack the opposing defense. Rick Stewart of All Access Coaching shares everything you need to know to run the Wing T offense effectively.
What is the Wing T Offense?
It’s is a mix of the Classic Wing and the T offense. 2 guards, 2 tackles, center, the QB behind center, a wingback just off your tight end on the strong side, and a split end lined up on the weak side. This is an offense that not all defensive coaches and teams are used to seeing/defending. At its core, the Wing T utilizes power, deception, and misdirection to attack a defense.
